Washington!
The journey continues through Washington D.C. Our visit to the White House was informative. The secret service disclosed some secrets that are not shared in history class. Do you know who built the White House?

Lessons from Wax
One of the things I learned was that Alexander Hamilton's nickname was "Little Lion". I didn't know that. The second experience was taking a photo next to my favorite singer, Michael Jackson. I had fun learning more about the U.S. Presidents...

Journey with us!
Our second GP pilot tour has begun! This was Samaya's first time flying. She said the flight was "nice". "The ride got bumpy. But, after it kept happening, I got over it." Samaya and Alexandra were excited about their journey to Washington, D.C. Stay tuned, as we share our journey together. #GPTours #GPStudent #Youth #education #AmericanHistory #Experientiallearning

Teen Talk: Gun Violence
Teen Talk is a place where young people like me can express and learn about themselves. My name is Jachelle and I just graduated high school. High School can be tough sometimes. What's going on in school? "Teens in school feel like they can't express their emotions due to peer pressure." Concerning gun violence, "Teens also feel like guns make them feel prideful and tougher." In school, you have to stay focused if you want to survive. #teentalk #Youth #gunviolence #ment

Appreciation
I often speak of the village concept for the wellbeing of youth. But, I want to express my gratitude for my village who support me, especially in this journey with GP. To each parent who allows your teen to participate in each activity and Jeneb Coleman who took the lead this month to make sure our Teen Talk was on point! Collin Wright, who asked how he can help, THANK YOU! I do not take the time you share lightly. I really appreciate each volunteer!
